Involuntary Turnover

Involuntary turnover is a type of employee turnover in which management terminates an employee. This includes layoffs and team reduction in order to lower costs. Involuntary turnover may occur as a result of poor employee performance, poor business performance, or an economic recession. Involuntary turnover is the result of a business decision to increase the bottom line by either hiring a more suitable candidate or reducing staff because of budget cuts.
